|Great American Eclipse Viewing Event|
Event Type: All ages/Family (Primary)|
Age Group(s): All ages
Start Time: 11:30 AM
End Time: 3:00 PM
We're celebrating the Solar Eclipse with several activities: a viewing event in our North parking lot, a storytime followed by a craft activity in our Meeting Room, free moon pies (while supplies last) and a live stream from NASA on three different screens. On that day, patrons may line up by the tent in the North parking lot starting at 11 a.m. At 11:30, we'll give out one pair of eclipse viewing glasses to each person in attendance for the program, while supplies last. WE WILL NOT GIVE OUT GLASSES UNTIL 11:30 A.M. If you're attending the storytime/craft, you may go directly to the Meeting Room at 11:30, where each attendee will receive a pair of viewing glasses (while supplies last) at the end of the program to use outside for the viewing event. This program is for all ages and does not require registration. Remember, never look directly at the sun during the eclipse period. Sunglasses aren't enough protection. The library assumes no responsibility for patrons using the viewing glasses during the eclipse period. Parents should monitor their children closely.Map to McHenry Public Library
